Lillian Hall-Davis (23 June 1898 – 25 October 1933), British silent film actress. An early favourite of Alfred Hitchcock, starring in such films as “The Ring”, she also did international work with a role in the 1925 Italian “Quo Vadis” as well as French and German films.
Unfortunately, her career foundered with the advent of sound. Suffering severe depression, she took the extreme measure of committing suicide by both turning the gas on in the oven and cutting her own throat.
