Coin purses, from the 20’s. They weigh a ton because they’re made of glittering mail. (Taken with Instagram)
LOVE mesh and enamelled 1920s purses (is the black and white one on the bottom microbeaded?)…they come in so many colours that they’re easy to accessorise with any outfit, and they have an incredible array of patterns. There are also quite a few of them around, as of course you didn’t just dispose of a pretty little purse like this, even if the fashion for them had passed over. Some of the baby mesh purses look like watercolours, and you’d swear that some of the pastel shaded ones had been designed by Monet.
Any marks on these? Are they Mandalion or possibly Whiting and Davies?
